-the code of of acceptable behaviours users should follow while on the internet or online or cyberspace.

-The moral guidelines that govern the use of computers, mobile devices and information systems.

TYPE OF INTERNET SERVICE :

1.World Wide Web(www):
     -Consists of a worldwide collection of electronic documents.


2.E-mail :
     -not real time
     -Consist simple text (attachment such as graphics, audio/ video clips)

3.Instant Messaging :
     -Real-time Internet communication
     -Exchange messages or file or join private chat.
Eg: Yahoo Messenger


4.Voice over Internet Protocol(VoIP) :
     -Enables users to speak to other users over the internet.


5.Message Board :
     -Easier to use.
     -Does not require a newsreader.


6.File Transfer Protocol(FTP) :
     -Software use to upload and download file on the Internet.

WEB BROWSER

A Web browser, or browser, is application software that allows users to access and view Web pages.
The purpose of a web browser is to bring information resources to the user.

TYPE OF INTERNET CONNECTION

DIRECT CONNECTION/BROADBAND INTERNET CONNECTION


1.DSL
-Broadband delivered over telephone lines
-Must be less than 3 miles from a switching station
-Transmits over telephone lines but does not tie up the line

-Example :- Streamyx without WiFi



2.FTTP

-Also known as Broadband over Fiber (BoF)
-Delivers over fiber-optic cabling all the way to the building
-Provide high-speed Internet access to house and business users.
3.Fixed wireless
  -Uses radio transmission towers rather than satellites
-Provides high-speed Internet connections using a dish-shaped antenna to communicate via radio signals.



4.Cellular Radio Network
 -Also known as Mobile wireless
-Access via mobile phone or device
-Offers high-speed Internet connections to devices with built-in compatible technology or computers with wireless modems.
-Example provider:- Celcom, Maxis, DiGi

5.Cable Internet Services
-Cable modem: Most widely used home broadband connection
-Provides high-speed Internet access through    the cable television network via a cable modem.


6.satellite internet service
•Broadband option for rural areas
A satellite dish communicates with a satellite modem.

7.Wi-Fi
  -Data is transmitted through radio waves
 -Public wireless networks
-         -Both free and fee-based are available
          -Currently Wi-Fi for short range, but WiMAX may soon be an option
         -Provide high-speed Internet connections to compatible or properly equipped wireless computers and device.
